1. Comprehensive application form completed in applicant's own handwriting providing:
- Full employment history with dates and company contacts
- History of any serious illnesses
- Periods of unemployment
- Names, addresses and telephone numbers of personal referees
2. If suitable they will be invited to attend an interview where they will undertake:
- Basic eyesight, hearing, smell, reading, writing and arithmetic tests
- Questioning their physical fitness and use of any prescribed medicines
3. Having satisfied the Interviewing Manager:
- Previous ten years employment history will be collated
- If satisfactory they will be invited to attend the five-day training course
4. Once invited to attend, full screening policy will be implemented, ensuring:
- Complete check of the employee's working history for the past ten years
- Only employees with a fully traceable working history will be employed
- Submission of Data Protection DP1 Form to local Police
