Britsafe Officer Gains National Award
A Britsafe Security Officer has won the ‘Service to the Customer’ category in the Yorkshire round of the British Security Industry Association’s Annual Security Officer Awards 2005.
Tony Wells, 56, from Malton won the award for his work at Barrons in York. He has demonstrated a consistent dedication to his role as a security officer. He is always first to report incidents to the customer, whether they are security related or not and regularly suggests improvements to the site, many of which have been carried out.
"Tony takes his responsibilities and duties to a personal level in order to get the best results for the customer," says David Cuddy, Britsafe Operations Manager. "Due to his proactive nature, he displays a full understanding of how to deter crime by effective patrolling techniques and his actions have prevented two attempted break-ins. He is an excellent ambassador for Britsafe and the security industry."
Barrons say "Tony has proven to be a great help in our own on-site training and procedures by highlighting various areas in which we could improve. He is a valuable member of our team upon whom we can rely 100% and his contribution to our company is invaluable."
The BSIA’s Security Officer Awards are presented regionally throughout the UK, with the winners going forward to the national judging phase. The national winners will be presented with their awards by Peter Hermitage QPM, Chairman of the Security Industry Authority at the Association’s annual luncheon on 22nd June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
